An operating system for the agent working in the repo.

02_OS pairs a GNOME desktop with a local repository runtime. The runtime reads the tree, the git history, and the symbols, then hands a coding agent a bounded evidence package. Nothing in that path requires an account or a cloud model.

Engineered around the repository, not a cloud wrapper.

Every subsystem in 02_OS is purpose-built so your local workspace and your coding agent share a fast, deterministic evidence graph.

01 / CORE DAEMON MCP over Unix Socket

Runtime

02 and 02-agentd keep a local evidence graph: tree-sitter symbols, git diffs, and SQLite. Agents talk to it over MCP. The model, if you use one, stays outside the OS.

The login screen plays the exact 2.6-second Zero Portal opening—the 2 slides behind the tall 0, the 0 expands, and the veil opens directly into the sign-in prompt. Built with precompiled GLib/dconf schemas and zstd squashfs + initramfs.

From raw repository tree to bounded MCP evidence.

Rather than scraping entire files into an unbounded prompt, 02-agentd indexes your worktree locally and serves verifiable evidence slices.

Get the image

The files below are the latest release. If the image is split, download every part, join them, then check the sha256 before you boot.
